As a dancer for the past 15 years, I have had the amazing opportunity to perform for Kidz Bop, Debbie Allen, and Awesomeness TV. Now apart of OCSA's premiere performing group Montage!, I have spent the past 4 years performing in the community for non-profit and corporate events as well as the annual South Coast Plaza Tree Lighting, Gala, and Season Finale.
For the past 4 years, I have been choreographing in OCSA's Student Choreography shows. Some of my work from that is below! In 2019, I began teaching at Dance Stars Academy of Performing Arts, choreographing and teaching musical theatre. Teaching has allowed me to reflect on all my training over the years and made me so grateful for all the amazing teachers i've had.
Because of how long i've been dancing, I understand the stress and tenacity that dance asks of us. At 17, I was diagnosed with arthritis in my lower spine alongside reoccurring bilateral knee pain. This is why I created the summer program Dance Science Integration with my friend Ekko Kunkle and the help of the Dragon Kim Foundation's Fellowship program. The program strives to teach dance basics in jazz and ballet and the scientific principles behind it to create a new generation of healthy dancers and prevent injuries. I plan to continue expanding this program into college to help better the dance community and keep dancers dancing longer!
